Jakkalsvlei Private Wine Cellar in the Garden Route

Jakkalsvlei Private Cellar is situated at the foot of the majestic mountains surrounding the picturesque village of Herbertsdale on the Garden Route. It is here in Herbertsdale near Mossel Bay where you will find one of the Garden Route’s best kept secrets!  The fine soil and ideal climate on the southern and northern slopes of the surrounding mountains combine to allow for the cultivation of quality grapes with great fruit concentration.

Wine Tasting and Pick Your Own Grapes at a Garden Route Wine Cellar

The tasting room at this Garden Route Wine Cellar overlooks the vineyards and mountains! Here you can taste and purchase wines from the Jakkalsvlei collection. Jakkalsvlei is family friendly and visitors are invited to enjoy the tranquil farm atmosphere. Bring your own picnic basket or order a Cheese Platter with figs & olives. Guests can also take a walk through the vineyards or enjoy the hiking trail on the farm. Every year from about 15 February to 15 March when you can pick your own grapes (Hanepoort) at Jakkalsvlei.
